Max Lykins
Welcome! I am a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Government and Legal Studies Department at Bowdoin College. Previously, I was a postdoc in the Program on Constitutionalism and Democracy at the University of Virginia's Department of Politics. I received my PhD from the University of Michigan.
My primary interests are ancient political thought, particularly the Romans, and republicanism and the republican tradition. I am also interested in how political theoretic concepts are expressed in rhetorical and literary contexts.
